Frequently asked questions

Converting

What file types can I convert?

SVG in, TGS out. The converter reads standard SVG 1.1/2.0 markup — paths, shapes, gradients, transforms, CSS classes — and writes gzipped Lottie (.tgs) for Telegram. Output can be a 512×512 sticker or a 100×100 custom emoji.

Why does my SVG show a "text is not supported" warning?

The TGS/Lottie format has no text engine, so live <text> elements cannot be exported. Convert text to outlines in your design tool (Object → Expand in Illustrator, Path → Object to Path in Inkscape, flatten in Figma) and re-export.

Why is my exported file over 64 KB?

Very complex paths (thousands of nodes), many layers, or combo presets on large artwork can exceed Telegram’s 64 KB gzip limit. Simplify paths in your editor, reduce layer count, or drop to a single-channel preset — the size meter updates live so you can see what helps.

The animation looks different in Telegram than in the preview — why?

It shouldn’t: the preview plays the exact Lottie JSON that gets gzipped into your .tgs. If you see a difference, it is usually a client-side Telegram cache — send the file to Saved Messages again or restart the app. Report persistent differences and we will fix the converter.

Can I animate different parts of the SVG differently?

Yes — that is what the Layers panel does (Pro). Every path becomes a layer; you can override the preset, delay the start, or hide any layer. Combined with cascade stagger this is how the lively multi-part stickers are made.

Telegram

How do I add the .tgs to Telegram as a sticker?

Two ways: send the file to the official @Stickers bot inside a /newanimatedpack flow, or use our bot — Send to Telegram in the editor, then "Add to my pack". Full walkthrough in the sticker pack guide.

Can I use the output as a custom emoji?

Yes. Switch the output toggle to Emoji 100×100 before exporting, then create an emoji pack via @Stickers (/newemojipack) with the file.

Do animated stickers loop forever?

Telegram plays TGS stickers in a loop. Cyclic presets (Pulse, Float, Spin…) are engineered to loop seamlessly; entrance presets (Zoom In, Drop In…) play once and hold, then restart when Telegram loops.

Account & Pro

Do I need an account?

No account is needed to convert and export. Pro purchases attach to your browser session (card payments) or your Telegram account (Stars) — opening the Mini App links the two.

How do I pay with Telegram Stars?

In the Mini App or bot, tap Upgrade — a Stars invoice opens natively. On the website, the Stars button hands you to the bot to complete payment.

What is your refund policy?

If Pro does not work for you, write to us within 14 days and we refund card purchases. Stars refunds follow Telegram’s in-app purchase rules.
